First off why am I up at 5:39a.m. on a Saturday morning while the rest of the family is sleeping? It's just cruel! The good news Mason made up for being up every hour Thursday night and gave me a whole night sleep. He's still not consistent with sleeping through the night the little stinker! I'm pretty sure as is daycare that he saves up his appetite for me and he prefers from the tap eating rather than bottles which means we still psuedo get up to eat at night. I say that because it consists of me dragging him to our bed around 1 or 2 and him eating every few hours while I sleep! LOL! I can't wait for more consecutive full night sleeps. Anyways back to Mason! He's not a huge baby anymore! He had his four month check up and he's only 15lbs 7oz & 25-3/4inches long. In terms of a baby I'm used to that's still huge since Ava was probably that weight at 9 months not 4 months. I think at 4 months she was only 12lbs! But he's definately getting less chunky monkey and more just long and lean. He's pretty great though. I picked him up the other day at daycare and he was sleeping and he woke up and did this double take at me with his eyes popping out like "How the heck did you get here?" =) I'm amazed at how excited he gets to see his family - he's definately a smart kiddo to recognize us so early on...or completely insane for being so enamored with us depending on the perspective. He's a total sucker for his Daddy. Last night Andy was making pizza dough and Mason just sat there in my arms soaking in what Andy was doing. You can tell he wants to be just like his dad when he grows up. It makes me happy he has Andy as a role model. What else? He's rolling over and holding toys and is loving his exersaucer. And we approached that "wonderful" stage of hair grabbing..........not a fan of that one and am considering cutting my hair to avoid the pain. He's a total sweetheart!
