Memorial Day Weekend

We've had the best time ever being together again now that Andy is back from his training! The kids were SO excited as was I to see him get off that plane. I had originally told him I'd just curbside pick him up but I ended up leaving work early and getting the kids to meet him at the gate. It was a neat surprise and we were so excited to have him home. We rang in Andy being an old man Friday with dinner out and then picked up some new stuff for the backyard. It was a super rainy holiday weekend but we did manage to make it out to the zoo on Sunday which was a blast! Monday we were supposed to relax and have a PJ day but we ended up out getting a firepit and spending the afternoon cleaning up the yard while the kids splashed in the mud. We shivered through a cook out but it was a great ending to the perfect weekend!

Yo Homeys!

It was hat day aka bad hair day with all the moisture in the air.

'Sup?

Ava got some paint and painted a monster which was then pinned on the garage door to scare me when I got home from the movies with my friends. It was definately a fright! Ava was so pleased that Andy painted her with the monster and that he painted her with worms coming out of her pockets. Andy's the best dad!

Dude we were completely invisible at the zoo and had to wait for 3 people who cut us in line for this picture. LAME!

Checking out the animals at the zoo

There was wolves there....pretty crazy. Guess there are only 2 or 3 packs in all of the Pacific Northwest or something.......

Love that smirk

The polar bears were active the day we went! They were splashing and riding the waves in the water. It was really cool!

Mason wasn't so sure what to think of those polar bears

Dinosaurs are a BIG topic in our house right now so it was appropriate to go to this exhibit. Only problem was.......it scared the crap outta the kids!

Very unamused. Probably too becuase one of the dinosaurs spit on us.

LOL!

ROAR!

Hello Mousey...

They loved climbing all over these guys....though I do think Mr Mason was working on something something right here..........

I just LOVE Mason's face in this picture!
