We had a Holly Jolly Christmas

This year is the first year we've stayed home on Christmas Day in a few years. We deemed it "Comfy Christmas" and our Vancouver family came over to spend the day with us. We did it up good! The kids had a blast spending all day in their jammies and playing with Jojo and opening presents all day long. We had fun watching them and playing with them as well. It was just good and cozy and tasty and everything you ever want in a Christmas. We've really made some good friends in those two and we just love them to bits. This was the first year too that Ava really understood the whole Santa business. We were joined on Dec 1st by Buster our Christmas elf and he traveled all around our house making sure Ava and Mason were good little kiddos and reported back to Santa. Then Christmas Eve he left them a note and presents on Ava's bed! She was thrilled! We also had talked about listening for Santa's sleigh Christmas Eve night and she swears she heard him land and his sleigh bells. I love it! She was hilarious when she woke up in the morning on Christmas, too. She peaked over the landing and SCREAMED "HE CAME!" and busted down the stairs and started just ripping into presents. Andy and Mason were still conked out and I was like WAIT! Mason got a basketball hoop and that pretty much made his morning. He had no interest in anything other than that. He's since found his t-ball bat which he's been beating us all senseless with so it's taking a vacation on top of the fridge. I can't wait till he's older and the both of them get each other going with it all. It's been a fun season with them!

Buster's presents

And his note

Ava had some magic in her eyes for sure after he left those

I loved how Mason looked all Mr Cool leaned back on the pillows opening his

This was HIGH-FREAKING-LARIOUS! We're all having this magical moment of OMG BUSTER IS REAL AND HE LEFT ME PRESENTS....then there's all this commotion. Andy and I look down to Coop chasing his tail. Awesome.

That's my kids!

Writing our Santa note. I don't know why Ava picked blue paper but whatevs.

She also instructed Andy to draw Christmas flowers. He winged that pretty good.

This is what having the flu looks like on Christmas Eve.

This is why I love Andy. He busted out Cheater Turkey Dinner for Christmas Eve dinner. It took 10 minues. Deli Turkey heated up with canned gravy and a microwaved baked potato. But I swear this meal saved Christmas. It sucked up all evil inside my belly! Love you babe!

FLASHY

She had to get into that action as well.

Now that's what I call comfy

GO TO BED ALREADY! It's Christmas Eve!!!

Ava trying to be sneaky too

he came!!!

If you could read Mason's thoughts on Christmas morning they would have been this: OMG A BASKETBALL HOOP IN MY HOUSE OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG.

Cheese MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM - ok now can I go open more presents? Seriously. Why can't they ever just take a normal picture?

WOW. that's just a disaster

ok break from the basketball - I'll open one now.
and it was well worth it! now I have a mit to HOLD my basketball!

Christmas Mayhem

Ava flipped her lid for this present - GOOD CALL AUNTIE MINDY!

Mason really loved his present from Mimi too
Ava is in love with Jessie - Jessie also now will creep around the corner at Andy and I while we're in the kitchen talking. You look down and it's that Jessie face with nobody behind it looking at you since Ava's holding her but hiding but I swear. I really do think this Jessie may come to life after we all go to sleep. And it slightly creeps me out.

Really? We're still not gonna get a normal family picture? OK fine I give up.

amazing cinammon heaven for breakfast

Jojo got hardcore about it.
The gang

Let me tell ya sumethin!

Kid floor mop. I like it!

Mr Mason passed right out among the rubble just like the little brother in A Christmas Story! It was adorable!
This is what I call Heaven on a Plate. Adam dry rubbed these puppies 2 days before Christmas and let them set. It was the best meal I think I've ever had.

FEAST!

Ok Jasmine and I are not known for our cullinary masterpieces. We can shop. We can juggle family and work like super women. We can read a book in a day and want to go back for more. We can do a lot but you just don't think first that J&J can cook to the high heavens. But these potatoes were like drooly do the ugly eat good.

We were REALLY proud of them.
Hey girls - take a serious picture! Oh ok that's ok I like this anyways more!

Thumbs up on a good meal!

Man we look beat but happy. And that's all that matters.

Boyfriend ate it. I think it was a 2lb steak. And it's now in his belly.
Post dinner siesta in the chaos. Because at this point we stopped picking up after them.

Check it out! A Barbie Bouquet!

snuggly little man

God she's precious
The cutest big boy undies I think I've ever seen!

we think we can we think we can we think we can! It's been 4 very long years of diapers.

As Michelle said.......no they don't look alike not at all.

These are two very hopeful people that potty training is going to be a success
