Sideways Post

Anyways. We have some sad news. Yesterday morning our first sweet baby girl - Aukie passed away at home. She wasn't able to overcome that bladder infection gone wrong. She had a great weekend playing outside and having cuddles. We're extremely sad but also happy that she's no longer in discomfort since it was such a long process. We know we did everything we could possibly do to save her but I guess it was just her time. She was with us through everything it seems and she'll be dearly missed. Yesterday we took care of her remains and planted a snowball plant in her honor. It sparked a lot of questions about God and Heaven from Ava. She informed us God lives with old people and she also inquired how God gets to his house. It was an interesting conversation.

As if that wasn't enough Mason also has a double ear infection. Poor little man! It was just a crazy day yesterday. We had an exorcist upchuck situation in Souplantation with him. He passed out on the way home from dinner and I took him upstairs and cleaned him up and he slept the entire way through it all. I told Andy I felt like I had taken him home after a hard night of drinking or something!

Despite everything going on though I think we're handling it the best we can. With humor and lots of love. I have to say I've been pleasantly surprised that we've been able to deal with all the stress a lot better than we have in the past. I'm proud of Andy and I and all the work we've done on our relationship and how much stronger we are. Our kids seem happier and I know I'm a LOT happier. Andy seems to be in a much better place too. It's good to be US again. He's started working on our living room cabinetry. I'm so excited!! He's doing a great job in making our home comfier. We're going to have some

fantastic organization going on when it's completed!
