Yesterday was the Shamrock Run and it was my first ever 5K. I've been off and on running since the beginning of the year and I love doing it when I actually push myself out there to do it. It clears my head and makes me feel just simply happy. I love the feeling my body has after a long run and knowing that I'm doing good to it rather than sitting around eating and drinking and harming it. So somewhat reluctantly I signed up for the 5K at the Shamrock Run with Jasmine. I did it for her because I didn't want to miss something and I was just like OH GOD I'M GONNA SUCK. I am so glad I did! I didn't suck totally and I ran all of it which is a major major success for me to run 3 miles straight. I learned I was pushing myself way too much and it was tiring me out so slow and steady really does win the race. I am just so plain proud of us and loved feeling the energy of all those people just being like Forrest Gump and ruhhhhnnnniiinnng. It is such a simple concept and yet was so much fun! I loved the marching bands on the sidelines playing for us and all the crazy costumes people wore and how much fun it felt to be running on empty downtown streets. I can't wait to do more fun runs! It was also so great to see how proud Andy and the kids were of us. I was glad they came to cheer me on!

| At lunch afterwards - it was a little bit of a bummer we had to leave so soon after because the kids couldn't go in the beer garden but we made up for it with these mondo bad boys |

| Ava had a birthday party so Mason went to lunch with me. He was so cute the whole time. I love some one-on-one time with the kids and I think they like it too! |
