Carnival

So one more weekend. That's all I can think of. One more weekend till we can stop running around like chickens with our heads cut off with every second of every day jammed packed with stuff. And then summmmmmmmmmerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Sweet, sweet summer. Today is Ava's last full day of school and then tomorrow she just goes for two hours (snow day make up).  I am so excited because I'm taking off work to go pick her and Jojo up and we're going to go do something fun. I haven't a clue what that means yet but I'll figure it out! I can't believe the school year is over already and am so proud of my little girl. She worked her butt of this year! I admit we probably didn't work with her enough to prepare her for what was ahead but I had no idea you learn to read in kindergarten now. And do algebra! So she started the year knowing basically nothing. It's kind of hard to shove something down someone's throat when they never have interest in learning numbers and letters at home and would rather draw. Or in our case - someone who had no interest because she couldn't SEE anything. Those glasses helped her so much! But.........she came through with flying colors. She was the youngest kid in her class with probably the most work ahead of her since she didn't have that prior knowledge base to refer to. And she is leaving kindergarten at the second to top reading level and excelling in math. Her teacher was very impressed with her. So we're very proud and are going to do the summer reading program at the library to keep it up so that in first grade we're doing her a lot more favors and she won't have to play as much catch up. She's also going (with Mason) to San Diego for two weeks with Michelle and Mitchell and she is so excited about it! She gets to go to a summer camp at Michelle's preschool and go on field trips. It's going to be a great way to break up her summer so she won't be stuck at daycare for 2 months straight. This is going to be a pretty fun next few months for us I believe. A nice chance to chill out a little!
He loved this thing

Mason has grown up overnight

So the ballet recital should be interesting.....Ava is the second from the left. She eventually got it but the stage got the best of her for a moment.

Whoopie Cushions are funny!

DEEEEEEEEERRRRRRR!

Having fun on the slide

I think it gave his tummy the tickles

They had a blast

OH and this was cute till he leaned on it and knocked it over!
