Bizi Farms

Well, so a couple of weeks ago we found out about a Zombie Apocalypse run and everyone  convinced me it would be amazing. Even Andy was up for signing up! So I signed us up because why not? It's my timidness that usually keeps me from these experiences and I'm sorry for not taking more chances with that sort of thing in my life. Well then, the Color Run happened. Not really the Color Run exactly but shopping for the Color Run. When after a fun trip to Goodwill filled with laughing and laughing we stopped in for a quick margarita and some snacks at On The Border. Because why not? Well LET ME TELL YOU WHY YOU SHOULDN'T. We all ran the Color Run and had our fun and it was epic. Like one of my favorites - not so much for the run because that was awful and the walkers hogged the road and I became the whiny runner that I usually loathe....but I couldn't find my groove and maybe, just maybe.........I was cranky because.........SALMONELLA WAS ALREADY COURSING THROUGH MY BODY! Yes, thank you On The Border for two weeks of severe painful discomfort. I missed work. I cried sometimes. I still can't truly eat. But at least the fever has stopped. Jasmine ended up in the ER getting an IV for more potassium even. It was just awful. I may never look at salsa the same way again. So here we were all happy and oblivious to what was in store for us! It really was a great time. The kids had such a blast throwing the color packets at the after party.

And here is Andy at the Apocalypse! He did like super amazing for his first 5K ever. Like put me to shame for all my running on time. Like by 5 full minutes. If I didn't love him so much I'd hate him. He had so much fun and I am so proud of him!!!!! I unfortunately refused to go back to the scary place I had lived in for the past two weeks by straining my body and pussed out on the run. I was asleep in bed by 10pm and played Candy Land with the kids. It didn't feel like such a sacrifice during that game. Except for when they cheated. :)

Here we are at Bizi Farms today. It was such good memories and we really scored on the pumpkins this year. We got huge ones! I am so in love with my front porch seeing it all decked out with the pumpkins and hay bales and cornstalks. Every time Spring rolls around I'm convinced how much it's so much better than Fall and then Fall comes around and takes the cake every time with it's colors and yummy coziness. The kids are so excited for trick or treating this year, too. Mason has been sleeping in his costume since we bought it mid-September. I also believe he should have gotten the bigger size because holy high waters. If Vancouver floods on Oct 31st he will be OK.

I tried not to think about the potential for disease in all these corn kernels.

Please note, Adam photo bombed us!! HEEHEEHEEE!!!

How cute was it that the piggies were sleeping by the fire?

She's made 4 feet!

And quite honestly he's not far behind

Blackmail is such sweet revenge

At this point we got lost and pulled out the map

I love these two

the oblige Mom with a smile photo

and telling me what they really think

They were so in love with their pumpkins

We were packed to the gills!

Happy Fall!
