Last Thursday, I leave for work and as I'm walking down our path that leads me from my door to my driveway I notice this. Knowing our 10 year anniversary is the next day I am intrigued with if it's been a really kind neighbor leaving us a present ORRRRRRRRAndy is up to something.
So I text Andy and ask. And he says "DOH! You shouldn't have seen that yet!" Well, I get home to this after work and soccer practice for Ava! I just love that guy. And clearly he loves me back.
So then I get to work the next morning, after breakfast in bed mind you (and a little gift exchange), and walk into my desk and BAM! He strikes again! Low and behold he worked it out with my boss (who happens to be my friend) and waited for me to leave that day before and in came these bad boys to wait for me until the big day! Andy wins the husband award, fo sho!!!
So, not to discredit my own self as not providing any effort towards our anniversary. I had worked out with Jazz a little surprise surprise Vegas trip that completely emploded on us. We were going to surprsie our boys with plane tickets Thursday night (which is Adam's birthday) and say "pack your bags, buddy". BUT...........life ruined that. Just plain old 30 somtething with a job life. Andy had to work the weekend on a huge upgrade happening. Jazz had to fill in at her work. So, then we had no plans! It was cold and rainy on Friday and it had been a long week and we were so done. We had no babysitter and didn't really have the energy to do anything big anyways - clearly there had already been plenty of excitement! So, we made the kids pizza and enjoyed a little sweatpants wearing, sushi eating, candy crush playing fun together. And in the end, it was us doing what we do best. Being together having fun doing the small stuff. And it wound up being just perfect for us. Next year though, next year we GO BIG! ;)
