Woah

April was a whirlwind of events! We had visits with Mimi and Grandpu, Andy did major backyard work on his vacation, we took a trip to Seattle, and we threw an epic Cinco de Mayo party.

As always, it was awesome to see Debbie and Randy. I love that they make this trip every year and we always go to the world's largest garage sale. This year Andy and I scored this great wine opener! We also enjoyed a little wine tasting and just some good ole relaxing with them. It was fun for us to be able to take Debbie to the kids' soccer games as well. Though (side note)...... I have to admit we have a soccer drop out in our family. Mr. Mason got a craptastic coach that was a whole series of wrong situations that left me frustrated and him in tears every time we went. So obviously we removed ourselves from the situation because soccer should be fun and not full of negativity. Maybe next year he'll be the right age to get synced back with his old coach. Or now I know to talk to other mom's and figure out the "good one".

The weekend after they left, we also left for up north to see Andrew's play. I've never doubted that he is a great actor but to see it in person was just incredible. Rent as a whole is a great play but to see someone you've known their entire life be in it was such a special experience. I can't wait to go see more that he does because he just kicks butt! It's been a few years since we've been to see Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Mike (life, I tell you passes before you know it) and it was super fun to be up there and to get some time with M&M as they joined us as well as Grandma Fran. I hope we do it more often!

Andy's now managed to transform our soggy little backyard into something super functional and it's amazing. I haven't taken pictures yet but we're like so super close to having a functioning hot tub it's not even funny. We got a little over excited at our Cinco de Mayo party and even enjoyed a little "dry" hot tubbing. It's a good one, let me tell you!
