This was a big year for these "big" kids. They got to LEAVE THE NEIGHBORHOOD! Normally, we make one circle of our block and they are begging to go home. This year though it went on and on and on. I guess it helped that we and the rest of E. Vancouver wanted some pizza Halloween night so when I "smartly" ordered our Papa Murphy's on-line and then went to the grocery store first giving ample time to give them time to make our jack o' lantern pizzas that everyone else had the same genius idea. Our neighbor was in line with me and said he stayed 40 minutes in that line waiting for his pizza. Luckily, I had an Andy on the way home so I could leave and get my kids ready for their fun, start their fun, and then take a pizza break halfway through trick or treating while he drove all the way home, waited another 20 minutes for the fandazzle pizza, came home and baked it and set up for handing out candy. It was a pizza fiasco that actually was kind of brilliant in the end because everyone's energy level stayed pretty consistent and nobody had a meltdown since we re-fueled them mid-way through their spazzy running from one house to the other. The weather was awesome and warm-ish and we had no rain and it was a great holiday.

| Leaving the neighborhood actually ended up being more fun to play with leaves rather than getting candy. |
