HOT HOT HOT!

It's just been stinkin' HOT for the past week or so. OMG I feel like I'm melting this weekend. We did make the most of it by slip n sliding with friends in the cul de sac and I think I spent the majority of my time with my chair pulled up to the kiddie pool soaking my feet in the freezing water. We also hooked up with some other friends and had a nice picnic by the river. Mason enjoyed his first playground equipment that isn't in his backyard. I think the swing almost put him to sleep it was so hot though! All and all it's been a fun weekend! Mason's now 8 months and is a busy guy. He thinks he's like 8 YEARS not months and wants to walk and talk with the best of us. I believe he's on the verge of crawling. Probably in the next week or so he'll be off to the races! It's just crazy that we're through the newborn stuff with Mason already. It feels like it all went so fast it's hard not to get a little nostalgic about the fact that the early stage is all over. Oh well you have to just love each stage for what it is and hold on to the memories and think about what's ahead! Although Ava just told me she has a baby in her tummy so apparently it's about to start all over with grandchilren.....WOAH! Ok enough of that talk. I got a little dizzy just thinking that far into the future !!!
