This weekend turned out a little more relaxing than we intended but it was fun nontheless. We had intended to spend some time outdoors enjoying another hike and on the way out the door to find a good hiking book Ava lost the contents of her stomach. Thinking that was just a fluke (she sometimes does that randomly) we left and made it to the grocery store....yeah we got her out of the car and it happened again all over the parking lot. That was a first! Thank goodness it was the parking lot! We managed to get food for the week and home before it happened again. Luckily she woke up this morning good to go and we were able to make the most of what was left of the weekend around the house. We got lots of gardening done and added a new addition to the lawn. Last week we bought a japanese maple that died on us in the heat of the week while in it's pot. It sucked! We planted it and are hoping it makes an appearance next year. But today we found a coral bark one that we (as in Andy) promptly planted...we hope we don't kill this one either. Hopefully they'll grow big and provide some shade that's badly needed in our lawn. It's really exciting to see the yard look less barren and more like it's located in the Pacific Northwest.
