Young Grasshoppers: Picnics Already?

We may have been slightly premature with the whole evening picnic idea but yesterday we scooted off to the park with our good friends and had ourselves a good ole picnic despite everyone freezing their behinds off. It was a good use of a Wednesday night and I hope we do it a lot more often becuase it was really fun! Ava even graciously awarded us by eating a full meal and did it before she went to go play all on her own. She's been really interested in being a good girl and talks about it a lot. Saying she's big now because she doesn't whine or that she was good because she cleaned up her toys. We are loving it! I hope that age 4 is more like this! Especially because Mason is totally entering his 18 month old terrible stage of hitting and taking toys away from his sister. You just get one straightened out in time for the other to start the same process it seems in our house! Oh well it keeps it interesting! And he's still a great boy! He got new shoes for the summer over the weekend and he was so proud of them he walks around pointing them out to everyone like "look at my new shoes!" and he's really into shaking his head for yes and it almost looks like he's head banging so it's hilarious! He's saying more and more words but still is kinda quiet which probably comes from having his chatterbox sister communicate for him since she seems to subconciously know what he wants at all times. It's just very cute!
