Beach Day!

Yesterday we took off for the coast! It was cold and cloudy and fantastic! The drive there was beautiful as always and we bought some new music for the trip. It was just a great day! Ava was in her element - she's such a beach bum. She was one of two people in her bathing suit frolicking in the "surf" and rolling around in the sand. Poor thing learned the consequences of that on the way home though and she complained of having sand in all the wrong places! HAHA! Next time I'll add baby powder to my packing list. Mason thought it was super fun to chase the waves but only while holding Mommy's hand - he'd grunt and stick his hand up for mine everytime I dropped it. It was a nice trip and I can't wait for our camping trip at the beach next month!
This is the BEST PICTURE!

We went for a run for 10 minutes on Friday with our friends Jasmine and Jojo....I say 10 minutes becaue that's how long it took for the mosquitoes to start attacking us. So we went home and ate dip and made drinks......that makes sense I think!

Saturday night Andy and I got a much needed date night. We went and saw some model homes at this Parade of Homes event - we thought we were seeing mansions but we actually just saw some perfectly ordinary houses. It was ok - it gave us great ideas for our own perfecly ordinary house. ;) Afterwards we had a lovely quiet very tasty dinner where I only had to cut my own meat not someone else's and Sangria was on special. It was so good I had to take a picture!

Here's the aforementioned beach day! We were so happy to be there! Mason was hilarious! We were sitting in some of the harder compacted sand the whole time but when we walked back up to the parking lot you of course hit the super fine stuff. He was so excited about it and thought it was so fantastic he dropped to his knees and started grabbing handfulls of it to watch it flow out his hands and when I tried to get him up and moving again he went limp and started rolling in it! I had a million things in my hands so it was quite ridiculous to get us and the stuff back up to that parking lot. GOOD TIMES!

Ava rocking a sweet sand castle

Somehow we kept him happy in traffic on the way home

I look like a blimp in this picture! Oh well it's the only one I took the whole day of us.

Super sleepy girl!
