Suma-Suma-Summertiiimmmmeeeee! Summertime!

It's been a gloriously mild summer here which has been super since work's been kicking Andy's and my booty tootie. It's been great to use our downtime to play with the kids and enjoy friends and life and not bake while doing so! The kids have really started playing together nicely which is SO SWEET! They love each other so much. Ava's the perfect older sister helping her brother do things he's not quite big enough to do himself and he worships her. It's almost like we can see the light at the end of the tunnel for leaving babyhood behind. This is both a huge relief and really sad all at the same time. There's still a little part of me that'd love to have a Miss Mae-Mae BUT to think of all the new ways of fun we can have with the kids getting older it's something I know Andy would love to leave that an idea rather than a reality and I have to agree. ANYWHO.........we went to the fair over the weekend! It's no Del Mar Fair but they got all the basics I care about. Cows, Bunnies, Scary Carnies, Greasy Food, Sparkletts Water Samples, Jacuzzi's to stick your hand in and wish you had one, and fun rides. And this one's great because it doesn't take 9 hours to walk through everything.

Ava and Andy about to have a blast!

Action Shot!

Not so sure about the swings. We had to coax her through them. Andy and I staggered ourselves at different points around the fence and called her name and made silly faces at her to get her through the ride without spazzing.

Mae-Mae all pissed he was too small for rides. :'(

She buckled herself in to this ride!

She was so excited to ride the merry-g0-round!

And the cars.......

We wanted to win the gigantic Care Bear SO BAD. But we sucked. It's ok though. Ava was scared once she got up there but had begged previously to play the pop the balloon game. I had fun trying!

BABY YARD!

I'm not a fan of these guys.

LOVED the kids though!

Mr. Handsome all ready for the fair

SO. Friday night we impulsed bought a hammock. WHY haven't we done this before? BEST THING EVER! Last night we laid in it all night long watching stars. We saw SO many huge shooting stars! It was so great!

Ava is pleased with the purchase as well!

Snuggles with Daddio

CHEESE!

Family shot with Mason looking

Family shot with Ava looking....go figure that's our classic family shot! It always happens!

This is the WTF look

Ok so Ava's turning 4 tomorrow. My mom always says "Four is the best age" and I have to agree. I LOVE FOUR. I'll give four reasons to sum up this picture: #1) You can reason with Ava that Mommy is running late for work this morning - can you please dress yourself? #2) She WEARS KHAKI PANTS/SHORTS #3) She even PICKS THEM OUT HERSELF and pairs them with an outfit that kinda makes sense. #4)
She goes downstairs, picks out shoes, then SUPER CUTELY puts on her backpack, straps it on, and stands there politely waiting for you to finish getting ready. Yup -totally love four.

My sweetness

Enjoying the hammock

I think Mason should be Elton John for Halloween how about you?
