This year we spent Thanksgiving at home which was a major change up from our usual San Diego trek for some tasty bird. We badly wished we could have made it but sometimes life happens (renters moving out and paying double mortgages for a bit/inadequate vacation time built up again from our summer vacation) and you have to make decisions that you really don't want to make. Next year we'll be back on track but this year it was home for us. We made the best of it and it was a very relaxing long weekend. Not being in a car for a total of 40 hours really has made us reconsider how we choose to travel in the future for the holiday. It was nice to spend Thanksgiving relaxed and not half asleep from the exhaustion of the drive down and especially after spending last year in the hospital with Ava having a quiet holiday at home was much appreciated.
Such a sweetheart this girl is
If you haven't seen Frozen.....you should. It's such a great story and pretty funny!
Happy morning smiles
Bird on a stick makes for some incredibly tasty turkey dinner
Love these boys
All ready to feast!
Gross and funny
We had a good day
We enjoyed our feast immensely. Poor Andy's arm wasn't long enough to get him in the shot.
Kid disco to work off the feasting was a huge hit!
Time for dessert!
There was some hardcore relaxation happening the past few days
Time for our tree
Mr. Man being a manly help
So.......Ava hated our tree and this was proof. I'm having a hard time not making it our Christmas card
Getting all set up
We were really surprised that we had more ornaments than we thought from last year's tree falling down on us and breaking a lot of our stuff. Enough to fill this more reasonably sized bad boy!
Buster came!
