Pop-Pop Came!!!

Pop-Pop came to town this weekend! It was the most fun! We visited the "Big Mountain" as Ava calls Mount Hood and rode the Alpine Slide. Ava also took her first horseback ride. It was a beautiful day to go out there and surprisingly isn't as far away as it's always looked. The only downfall (pun intended) was I fell down badly. I scraped up my knee pretty hard and minorly twisted both ankles after falling into a pot-hole. Luckily since I was holding Ava when I fell I took the entire brunt of the injury. I'm totally a big baby about that kind of stuff and I am glad that Paul and Andy took on nursing me back to good health. I've been a real big dork limping all around today. NO FUN. Today since my disabled self couldn't do too much we went to the river and the kids swam a little. It's been a super nice time with Pop-Pop and we're sad he has to leave tomorrow morning. It's nice that Mason and I will get to see him more next weekend when we travel to San Diego for a wedding and a bridal shower.

OMG! It was so scary getting on this thing with a busted knee AND Ava on my lap. So relaxing once on though. Could have ridden this all day.
