Well yesterday went super. The girls did so great! I had some bittersweet teary moments....it was ridiculous how emotional I was! You'd think the major butt crack of the dude sitting in front of me along with the underweary one of his wife would have been distracting but instead it just gave J and I the major nervous giggles. But when the principal announced the kids were the class of 2024 I just got this major ball in my throat and the water works started. Again when the kids left to go to the classrooms and do a project. I don't know what my deal is. We were just THOSE parents - especially when Ava somehow dawdled or something and ended up not coming back with the big group but with this smaller group of 3 kids and Andy totally panicked. But the good news is we think we've figured out before/after school care and breaks and summer daycare. And the school seems perfect in every way. I think it'll be a great environment for Ava. So now we can just sit back and wait for teacher assignments and search for the perfect backpack!
